Most people come to Jordan with a tourist visa. With a tourist visa it is illegal to work.

You can not get a serious job with a tourist visa. Most employers will not hire people that have a tourist visa.

Most foreigners with tourist visa's, find work as English teachers at

middle-schools and high-schools. That work is "under the table". It seems to be condoned. But it's not a stable thing to build upon, because from time to time the Jordan government has raids and hunt-downs for illegal workers.You can get deported as a illegal worker.

Apply for a job while you have the tourist visa, make sure that the job starts when your tourist visa ends. With your work-contract you will get a work visa. Then you can legally work in Jordan.

Working under a Jordanian boss/ company is not profitable.

The English teaching jobs are over.  Its not a reliable source of income.  Focus on farming and selling.

The best ways to make money in Jordan:

Farming:

Chicken / quail eggs

Buy chicken /quail and sell the eggs

1 chicken costs 5 jd

if you invest in 100 chicken (500jd)

you will have 70-80 eggs per day

70-80 eggs sell for 15-20 jd daily

after 1 month you have already earned back the investment

and then you make 500 - 600 jd monthly

Clover/ Berseem Grass

grow clover grass ("berseem") and sell the grass to cattle owners

rent / buy / find a half acre land with a waterwell and waterpump

buy chicken manure for a half acre (250 jd)

buy a water sprinkler system for a half acre (55 jd)

buy 1 bag of 50kg fertilizer "Urea"(46% nitrogen)

buy American clover / berseem seeds

plow the ground with a tractor and let it rest for 7 days

put the chicken fertilizer on the half acre and plow it again with a tractor

let it rest for another 7 days

sow the clover /berseem seeds 1 inch deep

after 2 weeks sprinkle 25 kg of Urea on the half acre

harvest the clover / berseem grass at 40 cm hight (6 weeks later)

after harvest sprinkle 25 kg of Urea over the half acre land

harvest again at 40 cm and repeat 25 kg Urea and 40 cm harvest for the nex 7 years

every harvest sell the berseem grass for 5 jd per bag

 

Important tip: Use a brush cutter for harvesting (on gasoline)

or use a scythe for harvesting

Sheep / goats

buy male sheep / male goat of 10-15kg (70-80 jd) at the cattle market in Husainia 

fatten them up till 25 kg (3 months)

then sell them for a 160 jd  or higher

and then with that money buy more and repeat the process

 

Growing and selling vegetables

rent a piece of land that has a watersource

buy cow- or chickenmanure and spread it on the land

plow the land with a tractor

sow the seeds

place the irrigation drip-lines

irrigate, wait and watch the crop grow

harvest and sell on the local market

 Import  & Selling goods from Aliexpress and Amazon in Jordan.

Order strategic goods and sell them direct to the locals.
