What is "New Moon"?

New Moon just means new month / first day of the month.

Also the first fase of the moon is called "New Moon".

But on the Hebrew calendar it is the first day of the month.

A lunar year is 354 days.

A solar year is 364 days.

The sun is responsible for the seasons.

Spring, summer, fall, winter.

If you follow the months based on the moon strictly, each season, feast day, holiday will be 10 days earlier every year.

After each 9 years each season, feast day, holiday will be one seaon earlier.

For example: Passover in wintertime, tabernacles in summer time. Feast of harvest after 18 years in wintertime, when there is nothing to harvest. This is off.

Calculating the months and years based on the moon is clearly full of errors.

Therefor we conclude that the "New Moon"is just the first day of the month.

We do not have to observe the moon for knowing the first day of the month.
